Canadian Federation of University Women – A Fabulous Organization with a Strong History and a Bright Future

Founded in 1919, the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) has a strong history in Canada. CFUW is committed to being an advocate for women’s rights and education in Canada and around the world.

There are many benefits to joining a CFUW chapter. In addition to helping women and girls in Canada and internationally, CFUW members are able to meet and make new friends through Interest Groups which include activities such as Neighborhood Dinners, Walking/Hiking, Art, Financial Matters, Lunch Groups and more. Many CFUW chapters also hold monthly general meetings where speakers come and talk on topics such as ageing in Canada, urban beekeeping and more, and chapters have special lunches throughout the year such as at Christmas time and the year-end.
